TALISKER 10YO 45.8%
The Isle of Skye is the home of this surprisingly peaty, yet tantalisingly spicy, single malt. Complexity is the word here. Fresh and fragrant on the nose, look for green apple and salty seaweed with an added kick of smoke on the taste buds.
LAGAVULIN 16YO 43%
The Islay representative in the 'Classic Malts' series is a deep, dry and exceptionally peaty bruiser. Probably the most pungent of all Islay malts, Lagavulin is not for the faint-hearted but inspires fanatical devotion in its many followers
Johnnie Walker Platinum - 18YO 40%
It has a rich, dark and intense flavour that rewards those who take the time to savour it. Stewed fruit, malty cereal, smooth creamy vanilla, fragrant almonds and tangerines give Johnnie Walker Platinum Label (or Johnnie Walker 18yo) its waxy, fruity and sweet taste mixed with slight drying astringency with a subtle smokiness.
